Scrum Product Owner Certified Overview
The Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) course focuses on the perspective, responsibilities, tools and techniques employed by the Product Owner. It provides an interactive hands-on learning experience through a mix of highly interactive facilitator-led discussions, group activities, games and product development simulation.
Scrum, created by Schwaber and Sutherland (c. 1995), is a popular Agile framework for developing and sustaining complex products. It offers a collection of roles, events, artefacts and rules, providing a way to assess the efficiency of your practices so that you can improve.
Scrum was formulated as a faster, more flexible way to deliver the greatest value in the least amount of time.
OBJECTIVES
- Provide deep understanding of the Scrum framework’s philosophy and lifecycle.
- Provide practical knowledge of Scrum from a Product Owner’s perspective – including roles, meetings, and artifacts.
- Prepare participants to be comfortable in taking on the role of Product Owner in their organizations as well as to manage common issues and roadblocks.
- Prepare candidates to take and PASS the online Scrum Product Owner Certified (SPOC) exam.

CERTIFICATION
This course prepares candidates to sit the Scrum Product Owner Certified certification exam. Participants may, at the end of this program, register to undertake the proctored online examination which consists of:
- 140 multiple choice questions
- 3 hours duration
Exams are administered by ScrumStudy and the cost of the exam is included in the course fee.
DEVELOPMENT UNITS
Participants who have been awarded the Project Management Professional credential by the Project Management Institute are eligible to earn 14 PDUs for their participation in this course (13 Ways of Working, 1 Power Skills).
Participants holding any of the Project Management accreditations (CPPP/CPPM/CPPD) are eligible to earn 20 CPDs for this short course.
PREREQUISITES
To ensure your outcomes are achieved, you are required to complete some pre-course preparation. This will be sent out 2 weeks in advance of the course.
Whilst not a formal prerequisite, it is recommended that you have undertaken the Scrum Master Certified (SMC®) course to better understand the concepts required for the Scrum Product Owner Certification exam.
If you are not familiar with SMC, then your Scrum trainer will outline any additional topics you will need to revise prior to undertaking the Scrum Product Owner Certificate exam.

IS THIS A CERTIFIED COURSE?
Yes. The exam for this course is to be undertaken online within 6 months of completing the 2 day training course. Upon passing the exam you will be certified. PM-Partners will provide you with the details and log-ins during the course.
IS THE EXAM FEE INCLUDED?
Yes. The exam fee is included in the course cost.

- Invoice: An invoice will be sent to you after you complete the booking. Payment is required 14 days before the course start date. If you're buying within 14 days, you need to arrange payment ASAP with a minimum of 72 hours before course start date.
