Today’s market means organisations are often searching for ways to enhance customer experience while reducing overall costs. The Kanban method is fast gaining acceptance across all industries facilitating business improvement by streamlining processes and reducing costs.
Incorporating a set of principles and disciplined practices that can be applied to any process, Kanban, when implemented properly, provides transparency and awareness. This helps teams improve lead time and reduce bottlenecks, thus delivering value on time without overshooting budgets or time considerations.
The objective of this course is to provide:
Introducing the Kanban method
Why Kanban? The evolution of Kanban. The Kanban method – principles and practices. Applying Kanban.
Kanban in detail
The Kanban Board. Moving work across the board using pull systems, work in progress limits and policies. Improving the flow of work through various techniques such as cycle time, cumulative flow diagrams, reducing waste and Kaizen events. The requirement for roles and ceremonies.
Using Kanban with other approaches
Kanban and Agile. Kanban and Scrum. Kanban and Lean.
This highly interactive course combines pragmatic discussions on theory, whilst also ensuring learning is realised through the actual application of the Kanban method using various activities and simulations. This interactive learning will help demonstrate how to change processes with a minimal impact to your business and, more importantly, the people using Kanban.
Courses are facilitated by our expert team and can be conducted onsite or at our premises. All courses can be customised to suit your requirements.
Materials: A comprehensive participant handbook is provided which includes various activities and materials to support the adoption of the Kanban method within the organisation.
